The Artwork of *Haleys-Comet

These two thumbs are doubly special to me, as they're pieces inspired by Engines of Creation. The first is Asha'la, a character introduced in The Liar's Law, while the second is her conception of the Blacklight Event, which occurs at the beginning of Children of the Halo. Give her some faves, people!

So there she is. I thought I'd give her a little publicity for what she's done for me. I also bought her a nice three month subscription, which she'll be thanking me for later. ;)

An echo from the past... (And Artist feature!)

Wed Apr 1, 2009, 6:36 AM
Hello, ladies and gents.

As of today, I've decided to once again start posting chapters of "The Liar's Law" on my dA account, starting with the prologue and the first two chapters (unrevised). Each day I'll post a couple of more chapters until I'm caught up and the book's complete.

So go check that out. I mean it.

In other news, there's been some terrific artwork made for The Liar's Law, by the beautiful and enigmatic ~Haleys-Comet. Haley's art style is haunting, meaningful, sometimes controversial, and even comedic. Here's a brief look at my personal favorites from her profile, starting with the Engines of Creation inspired artwork!

Here we have Asha'la, of the Sierra. A race of water-borne women from The Liar's Law, the second book in the Engines of Creation series. I was quite impressed with it when I received the finished product, but as we all know, art is never complete. You just stop working on it.

And now, a nice selection from her gallery.

As you can see, she's very versatile and passionate about her artwork. So come on people, go give her some dA love.

And to my readers, stay tuned. ;)

Edit: Curses! I forgot I need to have a paid account in order to do thumbnails. Nonetheless, check them out.

For all you DA fans of my writing, I figured I should give you all the heads up. The new, improved website is now fully operational (well, minus a few tweaks here and there once I start noticing things I should change.

Anyway, go check it out over at [link] <--- Make sure to register for an account and take part in the forums!

So yeah, the idea is now that The Liar's Law is going to be strictly posted through my website, over at [link]

I find I don't have much time left anymore to keep up with the posts here and through my website, so for all of you fans of Children of the Halo, your best bet is to go there.

Oh yeah, and I should mention that the first 10 chapters are already up there, with new chapters coming every Monday, Wednesday and Friday without fail. ;)

Enjoy.

Webfiction Listings & Children of the Halo Book

Mon Sep 1, 2008, 7:47 PM
Okay, so the time has come.

My website ( [link] ) has been listed on a number of progressive online fiction listings. Most notably, [link] and [link] as well as a number of others. However, I've noticed in Google searches that whenever the book is searched for, it pops up in my deviant account. This is unfortunate, since it spoils the book for the readers that are caught up to where I am on the site (Chapter 24), and so much had been altered (Characters dumped/semi-alternate ending, entire sections rewritten, plot factors changed, etc.) between the first draft and revision, I feel that I'd be better off deleting all the chapters that have yet to be posted through the website. Apologies if this causes problems for you folks.

Also, I've decided to post The Liar's Law simultaeneously between my website and Deviantart (or Writerscafe, for that matter).

Finally, the news everyone's been waiting for...

Children of the Halo: In Hard Copy!

Yes, folks, the revisions are in, I'm now awaiting my Proof Copy in the mail, and once I've skimmed through that, "Children of the Halo" will be available for purchase through Lulu.com, and following that, available from online bookstores and retailers everywhere!

Stay tuned.

EJ.
